Steinbachtal is a district and urban district of Würzburg .

The Steinbach valley is to the left of the Main, begins at the level of the Sebastian-Kneipp-Steg and runs south of the Nikolausberg. There is a park along the brook, which slowly widens in the course of the valley and flows into the Würzburg city forest.

Geographically, the city district also includes Nikolausberg and the residential area Dallenberg. The area south of the Steinbach was incorporated into Heidingsfeld in 1930. On May 1, 1978, a area of 155 ha was in the rear area of the valley of Hochberg vice market to the city of Wuerzburg. This area corresponds to the district Steinbachtal , which is listed in the official municipal directories. In 1955 the parish of St. Bruno was established in Steinbachtal .
