Steinfeld (Stadelhofen)
Steinfeld is part of the municipality of Stadelhofen in the Bamberg district . The village has about 380 inhabitants.
The Wiesent , the main river of the Franconian Switzerland , which flows into the Regnitz after 78 kilometers near Forchheim, has its source in this place .
history
The parish village of Steinfeld has been the seat of the administrative community Steinfeld , to which the communities Wattendorf , Stadelhofen and Königsfeld belong , since the regional reform . On May 1, 1978 Steinfeld was incorporated into the municipality of Stadelhofen.
In 1958 a freezing community was formed; the community freezer with 40 compartments - renovated in 2010 - is one of the very few that still exists today.
