The Stena Flavia is a RoPax ferry of the Stena Line , which was built in 2008 as Watling Street . It is around 186 meters long and almost 26 meters wide. She is currently traveling on the Travemünde - Ventspils route .

history

In 2011 the ship was chartered by Scandlines and used together with the Urd on the Travemünde – Liepāja –Ventspils route. When Stena Line took over five Scandlines routes, the ship came to Stena Line in mid-2012. Since then, the ship has been used on the Travemünde - Ventspils route, while the Urd serves the Travemünde - Liepāja route with the Ask . Since April 12, 2015, the ship has also been in service on the Nynäshamn - Ventspils route, where the Scottish Viking also operates.

Incident 2014

On November 11, 2014 at 10:47 a.m., the Pulpca entering the port collided in the port of Travemünde in fog with the Stena Flavia , which was lying on the Skandinavienkai. The investment pontoon of jetty 4 was damaged. No people were injured. A ramp rail and a lifeboat were damaged on the Stena Flavia . A departure ban was imposed on both ships . From January to March 2016, the Stena Flavia was used during a shipyard stay of the Stena Horizon on the Cherbourg - Rosslare route.

Sister ships

The Stena Flavia has no direct sister ships. There is, however, a great deal of similarity with the three NAOS P270 class ships built later .
