Stephan Hoffmann (born August 9, 1950 , † after 1976) was a German football player who was active in the Bundesliga for Tennis Borussia Berlin .

Career

Hoffmann, who came to Spandauer SV from Schwarz-Weiß Spandau , came from 1968 to 1973 with the Red-Whites from the Neuendorfer Strasse stadium to a total of 97 league games with six goals in the then second -rate regional football league Berlin . After he had to play with the club from Spandau's old town in the 1972/73 season to stay in the league, he moved to Tennis Borussia for the last season of the old second-rate regional league, 1973/74 , within Berlin . Under coach Georg Gawliczek he was a member of the championship team of the purple and white “Veilchen” who won the title in Berlin with 63: 3 points. The defender scored one goal in 21 league games. At the side of teammates like Hubert Birkenmeier (goalkeeper), Peter Eggert , Norbert Siegmann , Jürgen Rumor , Gino Ferrin , Reinhard Adler , Hans Sprenger , Norbert Stolzenburg (33 regional league goals ) and Dieter Schollbach , the patrons like Jack White , Hans Rosenthal , Wolfgang Gruner and Fritz Gretzschel surprisingly supported the team from Charlottenburg in the promotion round and moved into the Bundesliga for the 1974/75 season . Hoffmann had played all eight promotion round matches against the competition of FC Augsburg, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, Borussia Neunkirchen and FC St. Pauli and scored one goal.

In the 1974/75 season he was also a member of the first team and completed a total of 17 Bundesliga games in addition to the newcomers Karl-Heinz Schnellinger , Ditmar Jakobs and Peter Geyer . Nevertheless, his team relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga , in which Hoffmann only played one game in the following season (TeBe-Gütersloh 0: 1). In 1976 he left the club.

Nothing is known about his time after 1976 and his death.
