Stephan Schimandl (born March 30, 1999 in Mattersburg ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Schimandl started his career at SV Mattersburg . In 2013 he came to AKA Burgenland . In June 2016 he made his debut for the amateurs of his regular club Mattersburg in the Burgenland League when he came on as a substitute for Gabriel Bayer on matchday 31 of the 2015/16 season against USC Wallern in the 66th minute. In April 2017 he played his last game for AKA Burgenland.

In May 2018 he was in the professional squad for the first time against FC Red Bull Salzburg . He made his debut for this in the Bundesliga in the same month when he was brought into play for René Renner on matchday 36 of the 2017/18 season against LASK in the 86th minute . In July 2019, he scored his first Bundesliga goal in a 2-1 win against TSV Hartberg . The club stopped playing after the 2019/20 season.

He then moved to the second division club SV Horn for the 2020/21 season .
