Stephanie Jacobsen (* 22. June 1980 in Hong Kong , United Kingdom as Stephanie Chaves-Jacobsen ) is an Australian actress who gained through a series of appearances in internationally broadcast television series fame.

life and career

Jacobsen was born in the then British Crown Colony of Hong Kong in the summer of 1980 as the daughter of a father of Chinese, English and Norwegian descent and a mother of Portuguese and East Asian descent. After living with her family in Hong Kong for several years and spending much of her childhood there, she and her family moved to Australia when she was twelve . After high school in Sydney , she moved to the University of Sydney , where she graduated in philosophy and English literature. In addition, she slowly started her acting career, with which she had her breakthrough in 2001. Shortly after she was used in four episodes of Pizza from 2000 to 2001 and was able to convince with her recurring role, she was brought into the official cast of the Australian soap opera Home and Away in 2001 . There she finally took over the role of Charlotte Adams until 2002 , in which she was used in over 83 episodes before her role was canceled again. Before that, she was also seen in 2001 in an episode of Farscape . After that she devoted most of her time to studying at the oldest university in the country. After she had already worked in the advertising industry in the early stages of her acting career and was used in a few commercials, she also worked in this field after graduating from university, but quickly found her way back to acting.

She also had a role in the pilot episode of the television series Life on Mars , but was then replaced by Lisa Bonet . She also got a major role in the television series Terminator that year : The Sarah Connor Chronicles . Up until 2009 she played the role of Jesse Flores , a member of the Australian Resistance Forces with a marine rank of commander, in a total of ten episodes . In 2009 she also appeared in the horror film The Devil's Tomb and was accepted as one of the leading actresses in the cast of Melrose Place . Here she took on the role of medical student Lauren Yung , who earned the money for her training as a prostitute due to her precarious financial situation. After the series was discontinued after a broadcast season, Jacobsen was used in 2010 in the film Quantum Apocalypse, among other things . She has her next well-known role in the film production Three Inches , which was released in 2011.
