Stephen Bishop (actor)
Stephen C. Bishop (born September 14, 1970 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actor and former baseball player .
Baseball career
Stephen Bishop was born in Chicago and grew up in northern California, where he attended Campolindo High School. After finishing school, Stephen Bishop attended the University of California, Berkeley and played for the Indian Riverside Highlanders from 1991 to 1992. After graduation, he signed a contract with the Idaho Falls Braves , for whom he was on the field in 1993 in the Pioneer Baseball League . He then moved to the St. Paul Saints in the Northern League , another minor league in the American league system. He also played for the Sioux Falls Canaries in 1994. His last season in 1995 he played with the High Desert Mavericks in the California League. In the course of his short career, he held the game positions of first and third baseman and outfielders.
Acting career
In 2003, Bishop took his first camera role in The Road Home . In the same year he was also seen in the film Welcome to the Jungle . In 2004 he starred in the sports drama Friday Night Lights - Touchdown on Friday . In 2008 he played a small role in Hancock . In parallel to his film appearances, he appeared in the series Girlfriends , Friday Night Lights , The Game , Lost and Grey's Anatomy in guest roles. In 2011 he played the role of David Justice in the sports drama The Art of Winning - Moneyball . A year later he took on a small role in the film Battleship .
He booked other series appearances in CSI: Miami , The Mentalist , Prime Suspect , Hart of Dixie , Royal Pains and Mob City . Between 2013 and 2015 he played a recurring role as David on the series Being Mary Jane . From 2017 to 2018 he played one of the leading roles in the series Imposters as Patrick Campbell . In the final two seasons of the crime series Criminal Minds , he appeared as Agent Andrew Mendoza , director of the FBI Field Office in Washington DC.
