Sterling Park (Virginia)
Sterling Park is an early planned parish in Sterling that has existed on former farmland near Washington Dulles International Airport in Loudoun County since 1963 . The prefabricated houses were vollelektrisiert and about 20,000 US dollars relatively cheap. They all had air conditioning, which was unusual for the time. Homeowners had access to a swimming pool and golf course .
The land on which Sterling Park was built consisted of a few farms. With the start of construction on Dulles International Airport, land prices began to rise. In 1961, Marvin T. Broyhill Sr. saw this as a good investment opportunity and decided to buy the 7.13 km² area. Nowadays, Sterling Park is worth $ 2,115,783.86. The homes, valued at $ 14,800 to $ 22,500, were completed in 1967. Sterling Park was one of the earliest planned communities in east Loudoun County and a popular spot for government employees relocating with their families outside of Washington, DC .
In addition to the Sterling Elementary School and Park View High School, Sterling Park is also home to a variety of shops, parks, churches, and a communications center.
