Willisville, Virginia

Willisville is an unincorporated community in southwestern Loudoun County , Virginia and is located near Middleburg at the intersection of Willisville, Millville and Welbourne Road.

The community was founded after the Civil War by the freed slave Heuson Willis, who at the time bought a house in an area of ​​1.2 hectares for 100 US dollars . There are eleven lots in Willisville today.

Willisville is known for being one of the last places in Virginia without running water. The old African American community also has to resort to wells and latrines.
