Steve Stevens
Steve Stevens (born Steven Bruce Schneider on May 5, 1959 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American musician . He was best known as a guitarist for Billy Idol , but also played with Michael Jackson and Robert Palmer . Stevens was awarded a Grammy for his work on the soundtrack of the film Top Gun (1986) , and the soundtrack album received an Oscar .
style
Steve Stevens combines elements of rock , jazz and flamenco . One of his trademarks is the use of special effects, especially the ray gun effect, which can be used. a. is created with a modified plastic toy and often also by rack setup with a Lexicon PCM 41 Digital Delay - to be heard e.g. B. also in Rebel Yell with Billy Idol ; Eventide Harmonizer (including the H7600) are among the numerous effects devices he uses .
