background
In addition to Giorgio Moroder , Harold Faltermeyer and Peter Wolf were hired as producers of the soundtrack .
Bryan Adams ' song Only the Strong Survive was originally supposed to be part of the soundtrack. Adams refused, however, as he believed the film glorified war. The title Reckless by the heavy metal band Judas Priest was also intended for the soundtrack. However, the group declined because they believed the film would not be successful and because its release on the soundtrack album would have meant they shouldn't have released the title on their own album, Turbo . In addition, the US rock band Toto was originally intended for the first interpretation of the title Danger Zone .
Within the film also had the title You've Lost That Lovin 'Feelin' - a recording of the Righteous Brothers in 1964, Great Balls of Fire by Jerry Lee Lewis and (Sittin 'On) The Dock of the Bay of Otis Redding to which were not released on the LP version . They were included as a bonus in the 1999 remaster called Special Expanded Version . Giorgio Moroders Radar Radio was released as the B-side of Take My Breath Away .
There is also the film version of Take My Breath Away (Humming Version), in which the vocals are hummed in addition to the melody. This version has not yet been published.
