Steven Crampton (born April 12, 1982 in Winnipeg , Manitoba ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was last until 2011 under contract with the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in the Central Hockey League .

Career

Steven Crampton began his career as a hockey player with the Moose Jaw Warriors , for which he was active from 1998 to 2002 in the Canadian Junior Western Hockey League . During this period he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2000 in the eighth round as a total of 248th player by the Pittsburgh Penguins , for which he however never played. Instead, the winger ran from 2002 to 2005 for the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL and from 2005 to 2007 for their league rivals Las Vegas Wranglers . During his time in Las Vegas he played a total of eleven times for the Norfolk Admirals , Lowell Lock Monsters and Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the American Hockey League .

For the 2007/08 season Crampton was obliged by the Lausitzer Füchsen from the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey . He then played one season each for EfB Ishockey in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen and the SHC Fassa in the Italian Serie A1 . In the 2010/11 season , the Canadian won the Miron Cup , the championship title of the CHL, with the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs from the Central Hockey League . The team was then dissolved and Crampton has been without a club since then.
