Stige Sogn (until October 1, 2010: Stige Kirkedistrikt ( German: church district ) in Lumby Sogn ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until October 1, 2010 it was only a church district in Lumby Sogn. When all church districts in Denmark were dissolved on this date, it became an independent Sogn. The exact boundaries of the new parish have not yet been announced.

Of the 180,302 inhabitants of Odense, 3,378 live in the parish of Stige (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Stige Kirke" is located in the parish.

history

Until 1970 Lumby Sogn belonged to Harde Odense Herred in what was then Odense Amt , then to Odense Municipality in Fyns Amt , which has been part of the Syddanmark region since the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
