Sankt Knuds Sogn is a parish ( Danish : Sogn ) in the center of the city of Odense on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark .
Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Odense Herred in the then Odense Office , then to the Odense Municipality in the Fyns Office , which became part of the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .
Of the 180,302 inhabitants of Odense, 9399 live in the parish of Sankt Knud (as of January 1, 2020). There are two churches in the parish: the eponymous " Sankt Knuds Kirke ", also called Odense Cathedral , and " Graabrødre Klosterkirke" ( German : Franciscan monastery church ).
A former church district of Graabrødre Kloster Kirkedisktrikt , which belonged to the parish , went into Muttersogn with the abolition of the Danish church districts on October 1, 2010.
Neighboring communities are Sankt Hans Sogn and Vor Frue Sogn in the north, Munkebjerg Sogn in the southeast, Thomas Kingos Sogn in the south, Ansgars Sogn in the west and Hans Tausens Sogn in the northwest .
