Stonewall Noise Orchestra (often abbreviated as SNO ) is a Swedish stoner rock band from Borlänge , which was founded in 2004.

history

The band was formed in 2004. In 2005 the band signed a contract with Daredevil Records , about which the debut album Vol. 1 was released. The recordings for this took place in the Pophouse in Borlänge. The publication was followed by appearances across Europe . In 2006 John Hermansen joined the band as the new singer, who should also be heard on the later second album. The sound carrier was produced by Robert Ekholm . Hermansen was also represented on the following tours, while singer Singe paused. Singe rejoined the band in 2008 while the group signed with The Unit Music Company . The second album, Constants in an Ever Changing Universe , was released in October of the same year. Towards the end of 2009, the band moved to their own newly built Studio 454 to record their third album, which was released in October 2010 under the name Sweet Mississippi Deal on Transubstans Records . The release was followed by appearances with Warrior Soul , Blindside , Entombed and Brant Bjork . In February 2013, the next album Salvation was released via Transubstans Records, the sound carrier being recorded again in Studio 454.

style

The debut album Vol. 1 sounds strongly influenced by the 1970s and is reminiscent of Black Sabbath songs such as Evil Woman or Sleeping Village . The second album Constants in an Ever Changing Universe is also reminiscent of stoner rock bands like Kyuss or El Caco . In addition, some grunge elements were used . On the album Sweet Mississippi Deal more Doom Metal influences flowed into . In addition to Black Sabbath, the band can be compared in terms of sound with groups like Monster Magnet or occasionally Soundgarden . The album Salvation is also reminiscent of rock from the 1970s and classic stoner rock. The band names groups like Kiss , Mötley Crüe , Guns N 'Roses , Led Zeppelin , Judas Priest , Iron Maiden , Accept and grunge bands as their influences .
