Store Heddinge Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Stevns Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Stevns Municipality in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into the "new" Stevns Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

4,497 inhabitants live in the parish, 3,430 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Sankt Katharina Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are Holtug Sogn and Magleby Stevns Sogn in the north, Hellested Sogn in the west, Frøslev Sogn in the south- west and Lille Heddinge Sogn and Højerup Sogn in the south .
