Strøby Kirke

Strøby Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Stevns Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Vallø Municipality in Roskilde Amt , which was merged into Stevns Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

5759 inhabitants live in the parish, 714 of them in the parish Strøby and 4532 in the coastal town of Strøby Egede (as of January 1, 2020). The church “Strøby Kirke” is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are Magleby Stevns Sogn in the east, Varpelev Sogn in the south, Hårlev Sogn , Tårnby Sogn and Valløby Sogn in the southwest , and Herfølge Sogn in the neighboring Køge municipality in the west .
