Højerup Kirke

Højerup Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Stevns Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Stevns Municipality in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into the "new" Stevns Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

The parish has a population of 244 (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Højerup Kirke" is located in the parish. The biggest tourist magnet in the municipality are the chalk cliffs of Stevns Klint , which have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014 .

Neighboring communities are Store Heddinge Sogn in the northwest and Lille Heddinge Sogn in the southwest .
