Hellested Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Stevns Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Stevns Municipality in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into the "new" Stevns Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

1096 inhabitants live in the parish, 555 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Hellested Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are Hårlev Sogn in the north-west, Varpelev Sogn in the north, Magleby Stevns Sogn in the north-east, Store Heddinge Sogn in the east, Frøslev Sogn and Lyderslev Sogn in the south , and in the neighboring Faxe commune in the south-west Smerup Sogn and in the west Alslev Sogn and Karise Sogn .
