Holtug Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Stevns Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Stevns Municipality in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into the "new" Stevns Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

594 inhabitants live in the parish, 238 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Holtug Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are Magleby Stevns Sogn in the northwest and Store Heddinge Sogn in the south .
