Streetgirls ( My Little Girl ) is an American drama film directed by Connie Kaiserman from 1987 .

action

Franny Bettinger, a teenager, came from a wealthy family. She reads the novel The Fruits of Anger and wants to do something for society. During the summer holidays she works under the direction of Ms. Chopper in a home for homeless children. There she mainly takes care of two siblings. Her boss warns her not to get too emotionally involved in work.

Franny organizes a talent show at the home. She becomes a mature woman through her experiences.

Reviews

The editors of The New York Times quoted Eleanor Mannikka in the All Movie Guide and wrote that the film was about adolescents growing up. The presentation by Jennifer Lopez has been called " precocious " ( " precocious " hereinafter).

Awards

Connie Kaiserman was in 1987 for the Grand Jury Prize ( Grand Jury Prize Dramatic ) of the Sundance Film Festival nominated. However, the award went to Jill Godmilow for '' Waiting for the Moon ''
