George Newbern (born December 10, 1964 in Little Rock , Arkansas ) is an American actor .

Life and accomplishments

Newbern graduated from Northwestern University with a theatrical arts degree in 1986 . He made his debut in a minor supporting role in the miniseries Die Blauen und die Grauen from 1982. In the television comedy Die Doppelganger (1987), he played one of the leading roles alongside Elisabeth Shue . In the comedy A Woman Is Her Husband (1988) he played alongside Kathleen Turner , Burt Reynolds and Christopher Reeve .

In the comedies Father of the Bride (1991) and A Gift from Heaven - Father of the Bride 2 (1995) he played the role of Bryan MacKenzie , who marries Annie Banks ( Kimberly Williams ) and the son-in-law of George Banks ( Steve Martin ) and Nina Banks ( Diane Keaton ) will. In the horror comedy Mask of Murder 2 ( 1993) he played the role of Patrick Highsmith , the landlord and lover of Holly Gooding ( Drew Barrymore ). Since 2001, his voice can be heard in the cartoon television series Justice League . He also gave Sephiroth his voice in the animated film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children . After years of experience as an actor in television series, Newbern plans to start his own television series.

Newbern has been married to actress Marietta DePrima since 1990 , who, like him, graduated from Northwestern University in 1986. The couple have a daughter born in 1995.
