Santa Paw 2 - The Christmas Puppies (Original title: Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups ) is an American family film directed by Robert Vince from 2012. It is the sequel to Santa Paws big Christmas adventure and the fifth part of the spin-off Series Air Buddies by Walt Disney , which in turn is based on the Air Bud film series.
action
Santa Paw becomes the father of four snow-white, talking retriever puppies: Jingle, Charity, Hope and Noble. They grow up and do all sorts of mischief. Santa Paw insists that the four go to school. There they learn about the magic crystal, which you have to earn and only get when you have recognized the true meaning of Christmas. The crystals receive their magical energy from the magical icicle, which in turn is fed by the Christmas spirit. Since this spirit threatens to weaken, Mrs. Claus wants to travel to the people. The Christmas puppies are secretly hiding on the sledge because they absolutely want to help fulfill Christmas wishes, which should strengthen people's faith in Christmas. The path leads Mrs. Claus to Pineville to the Reynolds family. The mother died here last year and Thomas Reynolds now has to raise his children Carter and Sarah alone. That is why Mrs. Claus can be hired as a nanny for the children. Meanwhile, the dogs roam the city and try to grant the children their wishes with the help of a magic crystal that they simply took with them. They also come across Carter Reynolds, who lost faith in everything after his mother's death. Since he now wishes that all this “Christmas magic” should disappear, the puppies are at a loss. You would like to undo this wish, but you don't know how. They are also caught by an animal catcher who puts them in a cage and takes the crystal away from Noble.
Carter's wish has made the whole city feel like Christmas and the people have become very unfriendly. This negative mood hits Santa Claus very quickly and he sends two elves to Pineville to help his wife and also to find the puppies. They have now escaped the animal catcher and have fetched the crystal back. So you can get Carter to take back his wish and in return for a "Merry Christmas" for everyone. Now the spirit of Christmas returns not just to the Reynolds but to the whole city and Mrs. Claus's mission is accomplished. Together with the elves and the puppies, who have learned a lot from their wish-fulfillment campaign, they all return to the North Pole.

criticism
Kino.de said: "Cute dogs that speak and sing like their human fellow actors, a lot of humor, mild tension, morality and a little fantasy form the ingredients of the cheerful, colorful to contemplative fun from Disney."
