The area of orchards and vineyards between Geradstetten, Rudersberg and Waldhausen is a European bird sanctuary (protected area identification DE-7123-441) in the Ostalbkreis and Rems-Murr-Kreis in Baden-Württemberg in Germany that was designated by ordinance of November 20, 2007 of the Stuttgart Regional Council .

The ten sub-areas of the protected area “Orchards and vineyards between Geradstetten, Rudersberg and Waldhausen” , totaling around 2,074 hectares (ha), are located in the east of the Stuttgart metropolitan region . They are spread over three cities and six municipalities in two districts:

The area-related conservation objectives are described differently depending on the species :

Breeding birds

Breeding bird species that are listed in Appendix I of the Birds Directive and for which special measures are to be applied across Europe. A total of 39 species fall into this category in Baden-Württemberg and five species in the protected area "Orchards and vineyards between Geradstetten, Rudersberg and Waldhausen" .
