The Sulmenseekopf is a mountain in the north-western Odenwald, approx. 3.5 km east of Darmstadt . The 196.0 m high mountain in the Darmstadt forest area is heavily forested. The Hinterste Kahle Berg is located north of the Sulmenseekopf . To the east and south of the mountain is the Scheftheimer Wiesen nature reserve with the Ruthsenbach . The green pond with the Letschbach is located southwest of the Sulmenseekopf .

etymology
The part of the name Sulm probably goes back to an ablaut formation (Schwundstufe) of the old Germanic verb swellan ; with the meaning "to swell, to rise".
