Sundarijal ( Nepali सुन्दरीजल ) is a village and a former Village Development Committee (VDC) in Nepal in the Kathmandu District .
The VDC Sundarijal is located in the heavily forested hilly landscape northeast of the Kathmandu valley . The headwaters of the Bagmati are in Sundarijal. Much of the VDC is located within Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park . At the end of 2014, the VDC was incorporated into the newly founded city of Gokarneswor .
Residents
At the 2011 census, the VDC Sundarijal had 2552 inhabitants (1252 of them male) in 547 households.
