Suri is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Suri is the central place of the canton Suri in the municipality of Cajuata in the province of Inquisivi . The village lies on a ridge at an altitude of 2053 m between the system of the right tributaries of the Río de la Paz , which flows from the capital La Paz past the Illimani in a north-easterly direction to the Río Beni .

Suri is located on the eastern slopes of the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Central at the transition to the Bolivian lowlands.
The mean average temperature of the region is around 19 ° C (see climate diagram Cajuata), the monthly values fluctuate only slightly between a good 16 ° C in June and July and a good 20 ° C in December and January. The annual precipitation is about 900 mm, with a pronounced dry season from May to August and a wet season from December to March.

Cajuata is located 258 kilometers east of La Paz , the capital of the department of the same name.
From La Paz, the paved national road Ruta 3 leads north-east for 60 kilometers to Unduavi , from there the unpaved Ruta 25 branches off in a south-east direction and reaches Circuata via Chulumani and Miguillas after 159 kilometers . Five kilometers after Circuata, a dirt road leaves Ruta 25 in a southerly direction in the small village of Agua Rica and after 21 kilometers reaches Cajuata . From the south-western outskirts of the village, an unpaved road leads west to Tojra , where a junction leads south to Suri , twelve kilometers away .
