Sveti Petar u Šumi (Italian San Pietro in Selve ; in German "Sankt Peter im Wald") is a village and a municipality in the Istria County , Croatia .

According to the 2011 census, the community has 1,065 inhabitants. One of the sights is the monastery of St. Peter and Paul , from which Sveti Petar's inscription stone comes from.
