Swifty McVay
Swifty McVay (born March 17, 1976 in Detroit , Michigan ; real name Ondre Moore ) is an American rapper and member of the Detroit hip-hop crew D12 .
Career
Swifty joined D12 in 1999 as a substitute for the shot Bugz . Bugz himself had spoken out in favor of Swift as a possible successor even before his death.
In 2000 Swifty was first heard on the album The Marshall Mathers LP by rap star Eminem . D12's first album Devils Night was also produced by Eminem in 2001 . In 2004 the second equally successful album D12 World followed .
In addition to music, Swifty is also involved in the film business. In 2005 he made an appearance in the movie Game Without Rules .
In 2002 Swift started his own production company, the Fyre Department Production Company . He also produced a mix CD called Forrest Fyres .
In May 2006, Swifty was sentenced to 96 days in prison for allegedly violating probation requirements resulting from a drink-driving conviction. The rapper missed a court hearing for attending Proof's funeral . Ten days were deducted from the sentence as Swifty had already spent that time in prison. The rest of the time, he served in Oakland County Jail .
In June 2014, his fourth mixtape Poetic Poltergeist was released , which among other things contains unpublished recordings by the late D12 member Proof. His first studio album, Gray Blood, was released in early 2017 . His colleagues from D12 Mr. Porter, Kuniva and Bizarre are among the featured guests there.
Private
He is married with several children and lives in his hometown of Detroit.
