The Underground EP ( English for: " the underground EP ") is an EP by the US rap group D12 . It is the band's first release and was released in 1997 on the Real Entertainment label. On July 10, 2007, the sound carrier was released again on UnderWorld Entertainment under the name The Dirty Dozen .

occupation

The songs on the EP feature the seven D12 members at the time, Bizarre , Bugz , Kon Artis , Kuniva , Proof , Eminem and Eye-Kyu. Bizarre, Proof and Kon Artis are involved in eight of the ten songs and are therefore represented the most. This is followed by Kuniva with six and Bugz, who was shot before the band's commercial breakthrough in 1999, with five contributions. Eminem can only be heard on the tracks Filthy , Chance to Advance and Bring Our Boys . The latter two also involve rapper Eye-Kyu, who was no longer part of the group at the time of the commercial breakthrough.

The EP was produced by music producer DJ Head and Mr. Porter (Kon Artis).

Cover design

The EP cover shows the D12 logo in white on a black background. At the bottom of the picture is the white lettering The Underground EP . The cover of the 2007 re-release shows the faces of D12 members Proof , Eminem , Kuniva , Swift (who can't even be heard on the EP because he wasn't a member of the group when it was made), Bizarre and Kon Artis . In the foreground is the D12 logo in white and at the bottom of the picture is the title the dirty dozen in orange.
