Lucky You ( English for " You lucky guy ") is a song by the American rapper Eminem , which was released on August 31, 2018 on his tenth studio album Kamikaze . The song is a collaboration with rapper Joyner Lucas . It reached the top 10 on the charts in Australia, Canada, Finland, Greece, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

In the song, Eminem and Joyner Lucas tell about their successes and the Grammys from different perspectives . Lucas says that no matter what he says and how good he gets, he'll never get a Grammy. He also attacks the new generation of rap. He didn't care how much they'd sell, it wouldn't mean anything to him as long as you didn't write a decent text. Marshall shares his story of how he got to the top from a trailer park in Detroit . He “sold” his soul for the success and the attention. After the long break and revival , he "woke up" in a strange world full of bad rappers who would win Grammys with ghostwriters .

The beat of the song consists of two different parts. The first part was produced by the music producers Boi-1da and Jahaan Sweet, while Illa da Producer created the second part. Eminem himself took on the additional production.

On September 10, 2018, Eminem announced on various social media platforms that a music video for the song Lucky You will be released on September 12, 2018 . In the 15-second teaser, falling people in black hoodies could be seen. On September 12, 2018, Eminem posted a short video online again and mentioned that the video would not appear until September 13, 2018.

In the music video, Eminem and Joyner Lucas can be seen in battle vests. You are walking through the ruins of a city. In a one-minute break, a group of people dressed in black form and circle the two of them. They appear to be copying everything the two rappers would do. This is supposed to be a nod to the Mumble rappers who mimick everything better known rappers do. The video ends with the two rappers leaving the pack.
