Infinite ( English for " infinite ", " limitless ") is a song by the American rapper Eminem . It appeared on November 12, 1996 on his debut album of the same name, Infinite, and was released as a single in 2016, on the album's 20th anniversary .

content

In the song, Eminem mainly praises himself and his rapper skills with numerous puns , comparisons , metaphors and a complex rhyme scheme , where he takes on the role of a lyrical self . There are also several references to Nas , whose rap Eminem was based on at the time.

In the first verse, Eminem raps that his lyrics trigger a chain reaction that drives his listeners insane and puts all other rappers in the shade. It's time to make noise and turn up your music. Eminem says in the chorus that he comes from hell , where he had to serve a sentence for murdering instruments with his rap skills. But when he hears the beat, he is tempted to do it again because his capabilities are limitless. In the second verse, the rapper describes himself as the greatest since Jesus . His hands are deadly as soon as he holds a microphone and he is ready to use it to wipe out other rappers. The third verse is about Eminem going to beat the other would-be rappers in the style of a wrestler by using his intergalactic skills. His songs are for the true hip-hop fans and rappers who don't have a plan B next to the music in life.

production

The song was produced by Eminem's friend and D12 member Kon Artis , who is a music producer under his real name, Denaun Porter.
