D12 World received mostly average ratings from critics. The side Metacritic calculated from 13 Reviews of English-language media is a section of 58%.

  • laut.de gave D12 World two out of a possible five points. The weak production is particularly criticized:

" Wood and cramped [Eminems] try to play six tunes" Git Up "," Loyalty "," My Band "," 6 In The Morning "," Get My Gun "and" Bitch "with interlaced snares and dramatic piano and guitar fragments groove, but always break their stiff beat legs. […] Sufferers of the beat debacle: Ems Detroit buddies Bizarre, Kon Artis, Kuniva, Proof and Swift, whose above-average lyrics and flows have to move too much in Eminem's comic and bubblegum style regions. The best example is the single "My Band". The nice superstar homie concept doesn't work. Eminem dominates the track as well as the entire band image, and with no freedom of their own, D-12 are in its shadow. "
