Nowhere Fast ( english about for " fast to nowhere ") is a song by the US rapper Eminem in which the refrain of, R & B singer Kehlani is sung. The song is the fourth single from his ninth studio album Revival and was released on March 27, 2018.

The song was written by Eminem, Tim James, Mark Batson, Thomas Armato Sturges and Antonina Armato, and produced by Hit-Boy and Rock Mafia . After the release of the album Revival , Nowhere Fast reached number 98 in the German single charts on December 22, 2017. An extended version of the song was released on March 27, 2018 as the fourth released single.

The main theme of the original version is about Eminem's rise to fame and his dominance in the rap scene. The Extended Version begins with a verse that deals with the shootings at US schools and the US gun laws. The rest of the song remains unchanged.

Live performances

On March 11, 2018, Eminem sang the Extended Version of Nowhere Fast live at the iHeartRadio Music Awards . The performance thematized the gun violence and referred in particular to the school massacre in Parkland . The song was preceded by a speech by Alex Moscou, a survivor of the massacre, in which he said: “We are tired of politicians helping us in thoughts and prayers while failing to make the changes necessary to prevent such tragedies from happening in the future . If those who have been chosen to represent us do not do what is necessary to protect us, then we will be loud enough that they cannot ignore us. "
