Symbolic is the sixth music album by the American death metal band Death . It was released on March 21, 1995 as the band's only album through Roadrunner Records .

History of origin

Kelly Conlon ( Monstrosity and Vital Remains, among others ) replaced Steve DiGiorgio on bass . Bobby Koelble replaced Andy LaRoque on guitar.

On the tour, Death was supported by the band Nevermore .

Music genre

The technical level of the band was retained, but now melodic and progressive elements came to the fore. Schuldiner's singing is also clearer and higher now.

meaning

After “Symbolic” met with an extremely mixed reception despite euphoric reviews and strong songs, Schuldiner put Death on hold to devote himself to his progressive metal project Control Denied . Conlon went to Monstrosity , and Gene Hoglan started a career with Devin "HevyDevy" Townsend and his band Strapping Young Lad .
