Szarvaskő is a Hungarian community in the county Eger in Heves county .
Geographical location
Szarvaskő is located on the western edge of the Bükk National Park, 10.5 kilometers northwest of the district town of Eger , a good seven kilometers south of the town of Bélapátfalva , on the Eger-patak river. Neighboring communities are Mónosbél , Egerbocs and Felnémet, which are now part of Eger. The highest point is the 435 m high Keselyű-hegy, which is west of the village.

Main road No. 25 runs through Szarvaskő . There are bus connections to Eger and via Mónosbél and Bélapátfalva to Szilvásvárad . The community is also connected to the railway line from Eger to Szilvásvárad.
