Balatonederics is a municipality in the Tapolca small area in Veszprém County in western Hungary . It lies on the north shore of Lake Balaton (German: Lake Balaton ), the largest inland lake in Central Europe .
Balatonederics is the southern end point of road No. 84 , which comes from Sopron, 132 km northwest.
Attractions
- the 18th century Fekete Castle ( Fekete-kastély ) with a beautiful park
- the Roman Catholic church Keresztelő Szent János from the 13th century; it was in the 18th century in the style of historicism rebuilt
- an Africa museum with an adjoining safari park ; a replica of part of an African Masai village belongs to the museum
