The Turkish Embassy Bern ( officially : Embassy of the Republic of Turkey Bern; T ürkiye C umhuriyeti Bern Büyükelçiliği or T . C . Bern Büyükelçiliği) is the highest diplomatic representation of the Republic of Turkey in Switzerland . İlhan Saygılı has been the ambassador in the embassy building since November 14, 2016 .

Bilateral relations between the Ottoman Empire and Switzerland began in 1898 with the opening of an Ottoman consulate in Geneva. In 1900 the Ottoman ambassadors of Brussels and Paris were accredited in Bern. From 1915 the Reich was represented at ambassador level in Switzerland. The first ambassador of the newly founded Republic of Turkey, Mehmet Münir Ertegün, began his work on November 1, 1925. After the attack on the embassy in Bern, diplomatic relations were suspended for a year and a half.

The embassy was housed in the Villa Kocher at Schlösslistrasse 5 from 1915 to 1922. In 1922 the embassy moved to Schläflistrasse 2 and stayed there until 1926. In 1926, Turkey bought the property at Kalcheggweg 18. The embassy building, built there in 1907 by Albert Gerster in the neo-baroque style as a residence for an entrepreneur, was used as both a law firm and a residence until 1970 utilized. In 1970, a new office building with the address Lombachweg 33 was built on the back of the property. Since then, the older building has been used exclusively as an ambassador's residence. The inventory includes the paintings Köy (1928), Camili Kasaba (1938) and Beylerbeyi (1963) by Hikmet Onat and Desenli Vazo (1935) and Şevket ile Aptullan (1935) by İbrahim Çallı .
