The Turkish Embassy in Paris ( formally the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey Paris; T ürkiye C umhuriyeti Paris Büyükelçiliği or T . C . Büyükelçiliği Paris) is the highest diplomatic representation of the Republic of Turkey in France . The current ambassador is Tahsin Burcuoğlu (since 2010).
The Ottoman Empire sent representatives to France from 1483. After the alliance treaty between Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent and King Francis I of 1536, France ordered an ambassador to Istanbul . The first Ottoman ambassador was Yirmisekiz Çelebi Mehmet Efendi . He stayed in France between 1720 and 1722 and returned with a comprehensive report. The first permanent ambassador was sent in 1798.

- From 1839 in the Hôtel de Grimod de la Reynière (1, rue Boissy d'Anglas) (today the American embassy )
- From 1854 in the Hôtel de Villars (116, rue de Grenelle)
- From 1863 in the Hôtel des Maréchaux (10, rue de Presbourg)
- From 1872 in the Hôtel de Saint-Julien (17, rue Laffitte)
- From 1888 in the Hôtel des Maréchaux (10, rue de Presbourg)
- From 1908 in house 33, rue Villejust (today rue Paul Valéry)
- From 1940 in Vichy
- From 1944 back in house 33, rue Villejust
The Turkish ambassador has resided in the Hôtel de Lamballe (16, avenue de Lamballe) since 1946 . In 1974 a new building was erected on the edge of the property directly on Avenue de Lamballe.
