The Turkish Embassy Tirana (officially: Embassy of the Republic of Turkey Tirana ; Turkish Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Tirana Büyükelçiliği or TC Tirana Büyükelçiliği ) is the highest diplomatic representation of the Republic of Turkey in Albania . Hasan Sevilir Aşan has been the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in the embassy building since 2009 .

With the friendship treaty of 1923, diplomatic relations between Turkey and Albania began. In 1925 a consulate was opened in Vlora . In 1926 the consulate was closed and the embassy opened on Durrës Street in Tirana . After Albania was occupied by Italy, the embassy was converted into a consulate general. In 1945 diplomatic relations were terminated at the request of the communist leadership of Albania and the consulate general was closed. In 1958, at the request of the Albanians, an embassy was opened. In 1966 relations were again raised to embassy level. The original embassy building was handed over to the neighboring republic of Yugoslavia in the 1950s. The required embassy buildings, which also include the headquarters of the military attaché and the economic consulate, were moved into on Kavaja Street and, since October 2006, in a suburb of Tirana at 65 Rruga e Elbasanit.
