The Turkish Embassy Budapest (officially: "Embassy of the Republic of Turkey Budapest"; " T ürkiye C umhuriyeti Budapeste Büyükelçiliği" or " T . C . Budapeste Büyükelçiliği") is the highest diplomatic representation of the Republic of Turkey in Hungary . Kemal Gür has been the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in the embassy building since 2010 .

The embassy is located on Andrássy út ( number 123 ) boulevard in Budapest. The embassy building was built between 1872 and 1873 in the neo-renaissance style. The building was extended with a second floor in 1965.

In 1924 the first Turkish embassy was opened in Hungary. Relations were interrupted between April 1, 1945 and 1946. Since September 28, 1967, bilateral relations have been ambassadorial. On March 19, 1944, the Hungarian Prime Minister Miklós Kállay fled to the Turkish legation because of the German occupation. He stayed there until November 19, 1944. A plaque is now attached to the building to commemorate the refuge.
