TV Südbaden was a regional full TV program for South Baden , which was broadcast from September 2001 to January 2015 by Funkhaus Freiburg GmbH & Co. KG in Freiburg im Breisgau ( Baden-Württemberg ), a subsidiary of Neue Welle Rundfunk-Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG , Nuremberg ( Funkhaus Nürnberg ).
TV Südbaden worked closely with the local radio station baden.fm at the Freiburg radio station .
history
The station went on air on September 15, 2001 under the name FR TV and has been called TV Südbaden since a program relaunch in May 2003 . According to media data analysis, TV Südbaden reached an average of around 500,000 viewers in Südbaden per year.
On January 16, 2015, broadcasting was stopped for financial reasons. According to the company, it was not possible to cover costs due to poor cable coverage in southern Baden and thus insufficient penetration.
In spring 2017, Baden TV took over the broadcasting area of TV Südbaden, i.e. the urban and rural districts of Freiburg, Emmendingen, Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, Ortenaukreis, Lörrach and Waldshut.
