Tadija Mirić (born August 21, 1984 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian ice hockey player who was last under contract with the KHL Mladost Zagreb in the International Hockey League .

Career

Clubs

Tadija Mirić began his career as a hockey player at the KHL Zagreb in his hometown, for which he played in the Croatian ice hockey league until 2009 and in the Slovenian league in 2005/06 . When in 2009 two Croatian teams were accepted into the newly formed Slohokej League , which was dominated by Slovene , he took the chance and switched to KHL Mladost Zagreb , with whom he only finished last in the first season . In the following season he was not used in the joint Slohokej League team of the three Zagreb clubs, the Zagreb team . Only after the dissolution of the Zagreb team did he play with Mladost again in the Slohokej League in 2011/12 and finished fifth there. Parallel to his appearances in the Slohokej League and even after the same in 2012, Mirić is on the ice for Mladost in the Croatian league. In the 2013/14 season , as the league's top scorer, he made a decisive contribution to Mladost winning the main round. The playoff final, however, was lost to the second team of the KHL Medveščak Zagreb , who had strengthened themselves for the playoffs with players from their own KHL team. In 2016 he was again the top scorer and most valuable player in the main round, but again lost the playoff final with Mladost against the Medveščak team, which was reinforced in the playoffs with their KHL players.

In the 2017/18 season he played for the KHL Medveščak Zagreb in the International Hockey League , but returned to the KHL Mladost in 2018. During the 2018/19 season he played a few games on loan for Medveščak in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League .

International

Mirić made his debut for Croatia at the 2012 World Cup in Division II. In 2013 , he was also in the Croatian squad and rose with his team through a victory at the tournament in his hometown of Zagreb in Division I, in which he then at the World Championships Played in 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and 2018 in Pyeongchang .
