Taipei International Marathon

Elite start at the Taipei International Marathon 2006

The Taipei International Marathon is a marathon that takes place in December in Taipei . It is hosted by the City of Taipei and the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association . The program also includes a half marathon and a 10 km run.

history

Marathons with international participation have been held discontinuously in Taipei since the 1980s. In 2002, the city and the organizers decided to hold two marathons a year, the Taipei Expressway Marathon in March and a city ​​marathon at the end of the year. From 2004 to 2008 ING was the title sponsor, in 2009 Taipei Fubon Bank took over this role.
