Tamás Részegh (born July 31, 1997 in Miercurea Ciuc ) is a Romanian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HSC Csíkszereda again since 2018 and plays with the club in the MOL league .

Career

Club

Tamás Részegh, who belongs to the Hungarian-speaking Szekler minority in Romania , began his career in the HSC Csíkszereda youth department , the traditional Szekler club from his hometown. In 2012 he made his debut in the club's second men's team in the Romanian league . He also played for the junior team "Phoenix" in the Hungarian U18 league. In 2013 he moved to HK Ruzinov 99 Bratislava in the Slovak U18 league and led the team to the Slovak U18 runner-up in 2015 as top scorer and best assist provider. He then moved to Piráti Chomutov in the Czech U20 league. He spent the 2017/18 season with Alba Volán Székesfehérvár in the MOL league and also contributed eight points in eight games in the playoffs of the Erste Bank Young Stars League to the title win of the U20 team of the club from Central Transdanubia . He then returned to his home club HSC Csíkszereda, with whom he also plays in the MOL league.

International

Részegh plays internationally in contrast to other Szeklern who compete for Hungary , for his native Romania. He was already active in the junior division at world championships: at the U18 world championships in 2013 and 2014 , as well as in the U20 world championship in 2017 , when he was voted the best player on his team, in Division II.

Részegh made his debut in the men's national team at the 2018 World Cup in Division I.
