occupation

Tanz ins Glück is an Austrian film adaptation of an operetta from 1951, inspired by the original of the same name by Robert Stolz . Johannes Heesters and Waltraut Haas will play under the direction of Alfred Stöger .

action

The famous South American operetta tenor Pedro Domingo is returning to Germany for a guest performance after a long absence. Here he meets the very young up-and-coming singer and soubrette Rosmarie Reisdorfer and falls in love with her instantly. For her sake he jumps in for her unusual stage partner at a touring performance at Rosmarie's side. This special appearance triggers sensational reactions and also has an impact on his officially announced star appearance at the Bregenz Festival.

Pedro's love for Rosmarie leads to the fact that he now hires her and her tour colleagues for his own events as a favor. The dance into happiness would be perfect if it weren't for an old love, the dancer Inez Cavalcante, from South America, who makes life difficult for him here in Europe. Above all, their mother, Mira Cavalcante, who was traveling with them, tries to make life difficult for Pedro through intrigues and to spoil his happiness with Rosmarie. Eventually the waves smoothed out, and Inez consoles himself with Pedro's private secretary.
