Tataháza is a Hungarian community in the county Bácsalmás in Bács-Kiskun .

Geographical location

Tataháza is about six kilometers northwest of the district town of Bácsalmás , on the Mátételki-Kigyós canal. Neighboring communities are Mátételke , Mélykút and Felsőszentiván .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1485 in a sales contract. At times he was called Tótháza. In December 1765 Tataháza was included in the district tax register for the first time, in 1769 the county levied a tax of 137 forints on Tataháza. The oldest seal of the place dates back to 1776. In 1910 Tataháza had 1675 inhabitants, most of whom were Roman Catholic.

Infrastructure

In Tataháza there is a kindergarten, library, post office, police station, family doctor's practice, church, a restaurant and the mayor's office. There has also been a football club since the 1950s; Tataháza SK is currently (as of 2019) playing in the third class of Bács-Kiskun County.
