Tatjana Gürbaca
Tatjana Gürbaca (* 1973 in Berlin ) is a German director .
Life
The daughter of a Turkish father and an Italian mother studied directing at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin and attended master classes for opera directing with Ruth Berghaus . In 2000 she successfully took part in the international directing competition "Ring Award" in Graz and then staged Turandot at the Graz Opera . She now works at major opera houses in the entire German-speaking region. From 2011 to 2014 she was the opera director at the State Theater Mainz .
