taz Panter Prize 2011

The taz Panter Prize (for his own case also taz Panter Price ) is a 2005, donated award for civil courage , which annually by the by Peter Panter named Panter Foundation of the daily newspaper will be given. The prize is endowed with a total of 10,000 euros, half of which is awarded as a reader award and half as a jury award. The prize is to be given to people who "are socially, politically or 'simply human' committed to others, actively counteract political and social grievances and who 'often do great things in secret'". Organizations are not awarded.

The jury in 2008 included Klaus Bednarz , Dieter Moor , Anke Domscheit and Georg Schramm , in 2009 Bettina Böttinger , Elke Schmitter and Rufus Beck , in 2010 Anna Thalbach and Benjamin Adrion , the 2006 award winners. The 2008 award was presented as teaching material.

  • The winner of the readers' award was the non-profit association Soko Tierschutz , which advocates animal rights as well as environmental and consumer protection.
  • The jury's prize went to Taina Gärtner, who is committed to social justice in her neighborhood.

2019

  • in 2019 no prize was awarded. After 14 years it is time for something new . But the price has not been abolished.
