Team Heinz von Heiden
Team Heinz von Heiden Focus was a German cycling team with the main sponsor Heinz von Heiden Massivhäuser from Isernhagen near Hanover.
The team, headed by Roman Jördens, wanted above all to support the young, talented drivers from Lower Saxony and to be a stepping stone for them into higher-class teams.
At the beginning of 2006 the team was registered as a Continental Team by the UCI World Cycling Federation .
The team participated in the German race like Around Cologne , the Niedersachsen Rundfahrt , the International Peace Race , Around the Henninger Tower , the Sachsen-Tour and the Hessen Rundfahrt part.
In addition, the Heinz von Heiden Focus team was active in the German U23 cycling league and was successful in several small races in and around Germany in 2005 and 2006. Successes include victories at the 8th Steinhuder cycle race around the Friedenseiche, the 42nd Citizens' Prize of the City of Gehrden, the 1st Sparkassen Niederrhein Tour in Wesel, the Rund in Hanover-Döhren and the 12th Gilde-Ratskeller Prize at Rund in Wuppertal.
After the 2007 season, the Heinz von Heiden team withdrew from professional cycling. For the 2007 season, the Association of German Cyclists (BDR) registered an elite / u23 amateur racing community and a Bundesliga team for the u23 national cycling league. The team appears under the name of Heinz von Heiden - Saikls. The new co-sponsor Saikls is a newly founded bicycle shop (racing) in Hanover, which was opened at the beginning of 2008 by Roman Jördens, Grischa Niermann and Thomas Ziegler in Hanover and supports the team with material.
The racing program was reduced to regional and national races.
